While thousands of sun-loving families will be heading off to the popular short-haul destinations for a piece of summer sun next year, some will be tempted to choose the lesser-known hotspot of Tunisia for their fun-filled family break and who can blame them?
With miles of stunning beaches and picturesque scenery; not to mention the plethora of family-friendly attractions and excursions available, it’s a wonder the popularity of Tunisia hasn’t skyrocketed yet.

While more and more people are realizing just how special this North African resort is, the humble all inclusive Tunisia holiday is still relatively unheard of in comparison with its competition. While hard-core holidaymakers will have known for years just how sensational the country really is, it’s only recently that it’s making its mark as a tourist hotspot and as such, still provides affordable stays that won’t break the bank.
The resort of Hammamet is one of the more developed areas of the country and owing to the influx of tourism, there has been an array of child friendly attractions introduced to the area. While a day at the beach is often enough to keep most little ones entertained, it’s understandable if parents want a change of scenery at some point during their stay, with these awesome attractions being extremely worthy of a visit.
Friguia Park can be found between Hammamet and nearby Sousse and is home to over 400 animals across 60 different species. This superb wildlife attraction would be perfect for anyone who loves nature, with plenty of incredible creatures to admire, including tigers, lemurs and much more. Be sure to check out the impressive dolphinarium for some marine delights (you can also organize to swim with them!) and, if you have the time to spare, the evening African shows in the Shaka Restaurant are second to none.
