It’s that time of year again when the beautiful colors of fall lead to the onset of winter, fires in the fireplace, candles, molasses cookies and the magic of winter wonderlands.  Depending on where one lives, winter can either be mild with the occasional peaceful blanket of snow or it can bring about the realities of a harsh blizzard.  Sometimes staying home and being cooped up for the long winter months can grow old quickly and everyone in the family gets a bit restless.

There are days when I sit and stare at this computer screen and think, “What in the hell were you thinking – who would want to read what you have to say?”  Then there are days when I stare at this computer screen and think, “This blogging thing is the best gift I have ever given myself!” Yay me! A little neurotic?
